Beginners and Intermediate Oil Painting - Landscapes

In this 6 week course we will be studying two types of landscape - a seascape and an inland setting. We will continue learning about color mixing and learn to use some different brush strokes. We will also talk about light and depth.

An ipad or smartphone is advantageous for this class, but not essential.

Starting October 2024, running for 6 weeks until December 12th

(with skip weeks - see sign up for all dates)

Using still life as subject matter, students learn about oil paint, color mixing, value, mediums, brushes and composition. Demonstrations use the traditional alla prima method and Jacqueline paints without the use of solvents.

Demonstrations will be in oil paint, but students may use acrylic paint if preferred.

An ipad or smartphone is advantageous though not essential. Materials list below.
